In the centre of the village of Debnevo on a hill is found a medieval castle. In its center part are found buildings for living. The archeological findings poits that the castle is dated in the XII - XIV century. A lot of the rooms were for production, living and barracks. There are found different artifacts used by peasants and soldiers. The castle was used to defend the Troyan passage and with the castles in the village of Gradnica, village of Ostrets, the Troyan region was like a fort defending the central region of the passages in Stara Planina mountain.
