Latin name: Verbascum thapsiforme. It is a biennial grassy plant with huge leaves. It is high up to 1,8 metres. Its leaves are pubescent and crenated. The blooms are big, yellow, gathered on the top in long raceme. It blooms during the summer in bushes, thin woods, sandy and rocky places. The mullein is cold resistant and can wasy grow in soils on sunny places. Its blooms are used without the chalice and the whole plant. It contains saponins, flavonins, mucous substances, fat acids. This components stimulate the kidney activity. The leaves contains alcaloides. It helps when you have cough, stifle, flu, libber diseases, asthma, diarrhea. The blooms are used for pain in the ears. The leaves can be used like a substitution of the tabacco.
