Latin name: Colchicum autumnale. Parts of the stem are hidden under the ground and during the blooming it has several sharp, green leaves. Its blooms are blue. It grows in September and October. There are also autumn crocuses in yellow, violet and orange. This plant prefers deep and sandy soil on spacy, shady places.
